What's New in Votura 3.0.0: Scan Artifact, CarPlay Audio & Smarter AI Tours
Votura 3.0.0 is here: point your camera at anything on a tour for an instant answer, listen through CarPlay, and get a smarter AI tour builder that reviews its own work.
Votura 3.0.0 is out now on iOS and Android, and it's the biggest update yet — point your camera at anything on a tour for an instant answer, listen through CarPlay on a drive, and get a smarter AI tour builder that reviews its own work.
Scan Artifact: point your camera, get the story
See something interesting mid-tour — a statue, a plaque, a painting, an old cannon? Tap Scan Artifact, take a photo, and Votura identifies it and gives you an instant narrated answer, right in chat. It works for a museum exhibit, a landmark detail, or anything else that catches your eye that your tour audio didn't already cover.
Behind the scenes, Votura cross-checks what it sees against your actual location, so it doesn't confuse a generic-looking room or object for a similar one somewhere else — you get an honest answer instead of a confident guess when something can't be identified for certain.
CarPlay audio
Votura now supports Apple CarPlay, so your tour's narration can play through your car's speakers and controls on a driving tour — hands-free, eyes on the road.
A smarter AI tour builder
When you ask Votura's AI assistant to build you a tour, it now reviews the result right after creating it — checking whether the stop selection and pacing genuinely earn a good tour. If a tour comes out thinner than it should for its length, the assistant will proactively offer to add a stop, and will always tell you upfront how much extra time that adds before you decide.
A better Explore tab
Explore now surfaces more of what's actually nearby — parks, nature reserves, and other real places that were previously being missed. The map view also zooms in more naturally on its own, independent of whatever search radius you've set for the list view, so you're not stuck squinting at a zoomed-out map by default.
Plus: more reliable chat and fewer crashes
- Chat requests now time out after 90 seconds instead of occasionally hanging indefinitely on a bad connection.
- "Tours near me" no longer goes out with no location if you ask right when you open chat — it waits briefly for your first GPS fix.
- Several stability fixes across the new camera scanning flow, including handling devices where the camera is temporarily unavailable.
Update to 3.0.0 to try it — download the app and let your next walk (or drive) tell its own story.
