Worldwide Search in Explore: Find Places Near Any City or Landmark
Search any city, place, or landmark worldwide and discover places within your chosen radius. Set categories and radius in Filters first — Votura remembers your last settings.
Quick Summary
- Open Filter first and choose Radius + Categories
- Then type any city/place/landmark in the search bar (or choose Current location)
- Votura shows places within that radius around the selected destination
- If you don't change filters first, Votura uses your previously selected radius and categories
What Worldwide Search does
Worldwide Search lets you explore destinations beyond your current location. Instead of only showing places 'around me', Votura can show places around any destination you choose — cities, towns, famous landmarks, or specific places you're planning to visit.
Why it's helpful
Plan your trip before you arrive
Search your destination in advance and instantly see what's nearby. Ideal for planning around your hotel area, the city centre, a landmark you want to visit, or a neighbourhood you want to explore.
Discover places faster while travelling
- What can I do within walking distance?
- What's close to this attraction?
- What's worth visiting in this part of the city?
See only what you care about
Categories keep results focused. If you only want museums, viewpoints, parks, landmarks, or family-friendly options, you can filter Explore to match your travel style.
How it works (step by step)
- Set Radius and Categories in Filter first — choose how far from the destination to search and what types of places you want to see.
- Search your destination — type any city/place/landmark into the search bar and select the correct suggestion. Or choose Current location to search around where you are now.
- Explore places around the selected destination — Votura shows places within the selected radius, filtered by your selected categories.
Important: Votura remembers your last Filters
To save time, Votura keeps your most recently used Radius and Categories. If results look too wide, too narrow, or not relevant, simply open Filter and update Radius/Categories.
Tips for better results
- Use a smaller radius for walking and quick stops
- Increase the radius for driving days or wider exploring
- Select fewer categories for a more focused list
- If results look unexpected, check Filter — your previous settings may still be active
